PBGenie for Android
The app runs the corrections on the phone itself, so it keeps working at the
brake with no signal. Your saved parts sync to the shop library whenever it next sees wifi.
Installing it
- Tap Download above on the phone you want it on.
- Chrome will warn you about the file type — choose Download anyway.
It says that about any app not from the Play Store.
- Open the downloaded file. Android will ask permission to install from Chrome —
allow it.
- Sign in with the email your shop admin added. You'll get a 6-digit code once,
then it works offline.
Samsung phones: if it says installation is blocked by Auto Blocker, go to
Settings → Security and privacy → Auto Blocker and switch it off, then install.
You can switch it back on afterwards. Search "Auto Blocker" in Settings if you can't
find it.
Updating later works the same way — download the newer file and install
over the top. Your saved parts and sign-in stay put.
Do I need the app?
No — the web version does the same calculations and shares the same
part library. The difference is signal: the website needs a connection, the app doesn't.
If your brake is somewhere the wifi doesn't reach, use the app.
